Welcome to the Twin River Valley Youth Basketball Conference, a private, non-profit organization. In order to offer
a higher level of competition to youth at the 7th and 8th grade levels, Tom Hastings and Cort Schanou created the conference in 1989. The
conference expanded in 1996, and again in 2000, to cover additional grade levels. Currently, the league offers play for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls AND 5th,
6th , 7th, and 8th grade boys.
In nineteen years of existence, the conference now boasts 60 plus teams from over 20 communities. The conference features an eight game
regular season in which teams play four home games and four road games. Girls begin in October and end the first weekend of January. Boys
begin in January and end the first weekend of March. The league culminates with a league tournament at the end of each season. The league’s
tournaments feature division play determined by season records. Team and individual awards are given for league and tournament play. Teams
get ALL of this for a registration fee of $135, which is MUCH less than other competitive programs.
